Snippet: Vitamin Z Chp 10 (final) (March 2011)

Reading this last chapter of Vitamin Z brought back memories of my high school graduation.
I remember those kids I used to hang out with – the fun ones, the crazy ones, the ones who moved away…oh, and the insane freshmen. OMG…they were crazy on ecstasy, man…I wonder what terrors those hyped up drug monkeys are unleashing on the world right now? They have had to graduated by now…

Freshmen aside, Kei’s graduation speech in the final chapter of Vitamin Z was really touching, even though it was weird how he started it: “Yeah, I didn’t give a shit about you people at first…” <- definitely an interesting way to start a speech xD (note that I exaggerated what he said). I like how he was all, go and make friends. Good friends make life enjoyable. I’m glad I made friends ^__^ Me: awwww – I can totally relate. College was pretty dull until I finally found a crew :D Then it was fun times. I’m only sorry I didn’t meet them earlier (how we met was pretty coincidental :3 and I’m loving whoever put us all there at the same time :3)

Color Scans of Comic Sylph March Edition

For those who follow me on Twitter, you know I was rolling up the walls (the power of happiness gave me the strength to accomplish this feat) because I got my first edition of Sylph via my subscription with Fujisan. No more do I have to freak out about missing an issue or having to buy off…amazon.jp *barf*
Rather than keep the love to myself, I figured I’d do like @chungky and scan in some stuff for you guys to oogle at (@ chungky, you rock BTW for sharing your magazine stuff x3).
Unfortunately…the pictures came out huge! :O I’m definitely going to resize future pictures so they aren’t so massive! (I took up like 3% of my available free picture upload on this one post!!!! That’s how flippin big they are! *lol, that’s what she said*). The reason I say this is because below the cut is IMAGE INTENSIVE! If your computer can’t handle pictures of this calibar, it’s best not to click. I don’t want to be responsible for exploding your computers…(or the massive nosebleeding from the bishi overload x3)

That said, these are scans of the color page in the March Edition of Sylph ~ I did scans because they were in the beginning of the magazine (meaning it wouldn’t crease up the spine ~).

I just wanted to post about it to show you all :D
Was so much fun playing with PS to get these done!

Originally I was planning on only making 3 – Petit Four, Stray Love Hearts, and Hakuouki. However, when I got done, I still wanted to do more xD. So I decided to add in Zeele Sacrifice – my first project (however, I did translations only for this instead of summaries xD)

Then I STILL wanted to do more so I added in Penguin & Strawberries, even though I haven’t done ANYTHING for it yet xD

Now I kind of want to do a KH2 icon – just because I’m playing the game. We’ll see where my itching fingers take me ;D

New theme for my new project ~

Well, now that I’m at the end of my available Stray Love Hearts chapters for awhile, I’m thinking of starting a new project in the mean time
Also serialized in Comic Sylph is the manga, Hakuouki.
It’s based off an Otome game though it’s probably got more recognition due to the anime that’s currently being aired (as of this post, there’s gonna be a second season WHOOT)
(Don’t know why I whooted when I’ve only seen 1 episode so far haha)
I noticed there were 2 chapters posted on mangafox but these were chapters had happened in the middle of the manga. I did a post clearing up the confusion earlier, but I’m thinking I’d like to do summaries for the manga as well :3 Thus Hakuouki is my next project ~

Also, every now and then I’ll add a summary for the manga “Penguin and Strawberries” which was requested by @yuyeon). For those who don’t know, Penguin and Strawberries is a manga by the manga-ka who did the manga adaptation of Petit Four. It’s really cute. Plus it’s got a prince who turns into a penguin and a wolf bishie <3 Nuff said

Thus to celebrate my new project, I changed my blog up a bit. I’m currently using the theme “Moderately Lite.” Took friggin forever to figure out how the “slide show” thing works. Turns out the “slide show” works by taking the first picture in your gallery for a post and uses that. I kept wondering why my icons were being selected instead of my “featured picture” – bc I usually insert my icons first before I insert any other pictures. Now that I’m finally getting the hang of this theme, I’m enjoying it quite a bit. Only complaint I have is how small my blog’s name is in the upper left hand corner (you can barely see it due to the font color and the choice color of my background). But at least the font isn’t fugly like my old theme. *shudders* Was the total opposite of cute and girly…

Anywho, my favorite character in Hakuouki is  Hajime Saitou. I looked around on minitokyo for some images of him and Chizuru. Unfortunately, the picture of them I liked was set in winter. Being lazy, instead of messing around in photoshop and changing it to a more summer feel, I just went with total winter theme for my blog. Think of it like Christmas in July or something…>_>; yeah…

New project, thus new header :D

Holy man. I’m still mentally scarred by rushing through Petit Four like that.  @_@|||
Now that Petit Four is done, it’s time for a new project (but no bull-rushing it – I’m taking my time on it)!  I decided to do Stray Love Hearts over Majina because 1) I’m starting to enjoy S.L.H. now that I know what’s going on (I started on chp 12 which had me very confused at the time) 2) I randomly have chapter 12 and 15 on my blog so I figure I might as well finish what I started and 3) I want to spread the Joy of Comic Sylph :D

My bound volumes are on back order right now (nooo! My Clover no Kuni no Alice is also on backorder! I wants me Alice x Boris moments >_<) so I’ll start on chapter 13. I guess you all can expect it around 1/14.

A new project mean a new header! I was planning on having to photoshop the crap out of it but all I did was resize the picture. Came out pretty nice I must say.  I like Kitoo in the back going: hey guys? Can you move over a bit? I know I’m not exactly the most popular character here but can you at least pretend I’m good enough to stand next to you all? XD

And Ren…why are you a pirate? Now people are going to make yaoi jokes about you and Kuga – you’re a pirate out to get booty…if you know what I mean ;) Haha *jk*

Petit Four – Bonus Chapter: Specialite

A bonus chapter provided with the bound volume of Petit Four; or as I like to call it, a pity chapter.   This is for all the Mei x Yuuta fans. The manga-ka must really not like him or something because he rarely gets any screen time XD (he also doesn’t get a full chapter dedicated to himself. Poor guy)

Petit Four – Chapter 5: Fromage Summary

Rather than get to watch my movie I instead decided to work on some more Petit Four summarizations (don’t worry, I’m going next week to watch The Princess and the Frog. No way am I missing my Disney Princess fix :) It’s just the streets right now are packed with shoppers, students with nothing better to do, and people leaving the city to go party – basically not a good time to be driving. Sucks when you live in one of the states with the worse drivers imaginable :/)
