Stray Love Hearts Room #6 Summary

Has anyone ever played that Fruits Basket card game that came out a while ago? At a club social yesterday, someone actually brought the Fruits Basket card game for us to play. It’s supposed to facilitate happiness and friendship. In my hands though, it turned into the game of hate and pain >:D I kept getting cards that screwed everyone over and prevented them from making friends with the Zodiac characters. Everyone looked at me in shock: Michi (my nickname)…I thought we were friends…8O
Oh we are…outside the game…muhahaha.
It sounds bad but the game was full of laughs because of it XD

The chapter opens with Hiyoki explaining to the readers that the dream she experienced in Room #5 was real (she found Cain’s proposal on his desk that confirmed everything).  Just as she discovers this, who walks in? None other than Cain – the student body president – himself.

[The scene jumps real quick to Kousetsu – the S Dorm Manager – about to turn in when he notices something with his clock]

Hiyoki confronts Cain about why he wants to abolish S Dorm. The building may be old but the residents like it regardless. Also, May Festival helped to change S Dorm’s bad image (seeing as they got voted #1 attraction of May Festival). Cain agrees that winning May Festival’s #1 attraction will makes things more difficult. However, test week will show what a waste S Dorm is. Apparently those residents of S Dorm have some shitty grades (hoho it seems the boys in Vitamin Z (another series running in the same magazine as Stray Love Hearts) may have a run for their money as the stupidest students enrolled in a school). That coupled with their apathy to the law will help back Cain’s proposal.

Hiyoki suddenly thinks of the tea party event. If S Dorm rejects the invite to the student council tea party, it’ll make things even worse. It saddens Hiyoki when she thinks how S Dorm worked so hard just to come to this roadblock.

“How cruel…”

Cain is surprised by Hiyoki’s words but he quickly shakes it off. He questions why Hiyoki is so infatuated with S Dorm. She only just got there. She doesn’t even have a room for goodness sake. Hiyoki is surprised Cain knows about that – could Yamashina have passed that info to him? Cain also adds that Hiyoki turned down his offer to stay at A Dorm (OMG dude! Get over it!). Hiyoki thinks in her head that Cain said his proposal as a joke (this all happened in Room #3). Cain asks again, what is the reason behind Hiyoki’s attachment to S Dorm?

(Hiyoki internal) It’s because S Dorm is where the heart thief may be. It’s also a place where all those residents she has become friends with love dearly.

Hiyoki is getting so worked up over everything that her fake heart is going wild. Cain corners her against his desk and leans over her.

“You…don’t have the right to refuse me.”

Hiyoki gazes up at him, confused by what he means. Why he’s looking at her like that?
When he gazes at her like that, it makes her heart constrict…but why?

Suddenly Cain does the Cain smirk (that is totally going to be found in the dictionary here soon).  He remarks it dawns on him how over at S Dorm, she has all the guys she could want. This pisses off Hiyoki and…

Cain looks at Hiyoki in shock 8O (I…I got bitched slapped…).

Hiyoki, shocked by her actions, runs out of the office; thinking, why does her heart hurt so much?

Back to Cain. Some door opens and reveals Uryuu. He asks why was that girl from S Dorm here? Cain looks at him like, look creeper. You’ve been hiding there since yesterday. You heard the whole thing :/
Uryuu claims he isn’t watching Cain 24/7 (Room #16 shows you lie Uryuu!!! We have pictures!!!) – he just walked in when Cain said S Dorm has all the guys she could every want.  Uryuu smirks, saying rather than use such vulgar words, wouldn’t it have been better for him to have scarred her thoroughly? (WTF does that even mean? Rape? o_O; whoa…Uyruu…). Cain remarks that just because he said what he said doesn’t mean he wants to do something like that. He’d rather just keep her at a distance. Uryuu is confused: all Cain needs to do is say the word and it shall be done. Then he opens his eyes. Don’t tell me…that girl…her true lineage is…

Uryuu...when you open your eyes...you look way too evil...now I'm glad Brock from Poke'mon never opened his eyes. My childhood would have been ruined had he...

The scene shifts to Kousetsu tinkering with his clock (not that clock perverts haha). His maid(?) tells him to take it to a professional for repair but he says he’s having fun.  He can’t help himself – he’s enjoying the challenge…(this is supposed to show how relate to Hiyoki’s situation)

The scene shifts back to Hiyoki. She wonders why in the world is she crying? Why does everything hurt – the hand that bitch slapped Cain, her heart, the way he looked at her. Why?

Another scene shift. Hiyoki is studying at Yamashina’s, or at least trying to. Yamashina notices her mind is distracted and calls it a day. Hiyoki apologizes, looking blue. Yamashina adds that if one is having problems, one should look at the problem from a different angle.  Hiyoki has a wft smile and nods her head. Internally, she thinks she’s no good. Yamashina adds that they need to break to let Hiyoki’s eyes rest because if they let her eyes swell she won’t look good in her glasses.

Hiyoki: o_o;

Yamashina corrects himself. He didn’t mean glasses. He meant it doesn’t suit her to be so blue. He tells her to use some ice for her eyes and also some medicine. Hiyoki is surprised he noticed she had been crying earlier.

Scene change. Hiyoki is now in bed, thinking of Yamashina’s words: tackling a problem from a different angle. She falls asleep with his words echoing in her head.  In her dream she notices it’s filled with all the worries she has – if Yamashina is a spy, is S Dorm going to fall, WTF is up with that student council president. Hiyoki smacks away at her worries (whoa snap, Hiyoki is violent in this chapter 8D) and decides there’s no point in worrying. She needs to take initiative!

Another scene change. Someone calls to Hiyoki. She looks over her shoulder to see Ren and Kuga. They invite her to eat lunch together. Hiyoki apologizes, saying she only has 10 minutes for her break (she grabs her food and runs).  Ren is confused by what Hiyoki meant. Kuga fills in the blanks for Ren by mentioning the upcoming tests. So Hiyoki is studying?

Yamashina Study Boot Camp: We'll boost your GPA at the expense of your life span...o_o;

That’s right. Hiyoki has enrolled in the Yamashina Study Boot Camp, with the Yamashina promise of increased grades or your money back (and pigs will fly before that happens). Hiyoki has decided to fight the image S Dorm has about its residents having poor grades. She’ll show the student council!

Thus Hiyoki uses the days before Test Week to study and prepare herself. Yamashina is a tough teacher!

Scene Change. While looking around for Yamashina, Hiyoki runs across Gai, Ren, and Kuga studying.

Ren says that seeing Hiyoki studying so hard made Ren want to see if he too can improve his scores (however he spent most of the time sleeping in class so he doesn’t really understand what he’s missed. Kuga remarks even had Ren been awake, it was doubtful he’d have understood any way; to which Ren tells Kuga to shove it haha).  Hiyoki is happy to hear this (the part where everyone is studying, not Kuga and Ren’s little exchange).

Ren asks Gai a question concerning an English problem. Gai looks at the book in confusion and asks for the Japanese translation.

Ren:=_=; That’s the reason I asked for your help…

Hiyoki looks at the problem and is surprised to find herself able to answer it. Ren is impressed. Gai asks Hiyoki for help. So does Kuga. Soon Hiyoki joins the study group.

They study well into the night. However, as morning comes, Ren is feeling depressed. Though he’s finally understanding things, there’s not enough time to learn it all. Gai sighs, mumbling he’ll be in the red again.

Yamashina comes bursting in, screaming not to give up (lol to Gai screaming in surprise).

In his hands he has work books with problems that will most likely come up on the tests.

Ren: そっちかい FAIL!

Yamashina says he’s offering a good bargain for them.

Ren: X0 We have to buy them!? (I have no money!)

Yamashina says they can get five for the price of one.

Kuga: =_=; I don’t want five…

When questioned when he made them, Yamashina said he did them while helping Hiyoki with her studying. He turns his attention back to the boys. Here’s the deal: if they don’t have the money to pay for the work books, then he’ll settle for them having to participate in the tea party instead (hoho you sneaky hamster Yamashina 8D).

The next scene shows the S Dorm gang (minus Yamashina) walking together.

We have a flashback scene: Test Week has come and gone. Everyone passed thanks to Yamashina’s help/work books. Kuga is shocked that Ren passed too – saying it’s going to snow tomorrow (oh Kuga; you just can’t resist stabbing Ren at every chance given can you ;3). Yamashina tries to corner Gai – who even though he passed, had the lowest scores of S Dorm – and get him to regularly attend Yamashina’s Private Lessons Filled With Love >:D Gai freaks out and runs for it.

Yeah, were I a guy and I had another guy holding a pointer like that, I'd be freaking out too...run Gai, run!

Yamashina sighs but looks over at Hiyoki, smiling. Next thing to tackle is the student council tea party! Hiyoki smiles and nods her head in agreement.

Hiyoki hasn’t told anyone about the plan to abolish S Dorm yet. Thinking of that proposal makes her look up at the score boards again. Yamashina got second. Naturally Cain got first (and stalking close behind is Uryuu in third). Hiyoki remembers what transpired in his office. She curls her fist in agitation.

Kitoo asks what’s wrong. Hiyoki breaks from her thoughts and is brought back to the present.  She lies that she’s a little nervous. Turns out everyone in S Dorm is heading to A Dorm for the tea party! Hiyoki whispers over to Kitoo and Asukai if they too used that from Yamashina (she thinks they were roped in like the others by Yamashina). When confronted by their confused faces, Hiyoki says never mind. Asukai says originally he wasn’t planning on going but then he heard that Kitoo was going. Kitoo jokes that Asukai wanted to come along with him. Naturally Asukai socks him and claims he came keep an eye on Kitoo XD

The other boys call to Hiyoki, Asukai, and Kitoo. Hiyoki smiles and runs over to them. Things will work out, she thinks in her head. Definitely!

We teleport over to A Dorm. Yamashina is calling out for Stella. He finds her, and the things with her.

This is…

Stella smiles and says doesn’t he think they’re cool? They are for the tea party.

Then she starts to undress o_O;

Alright! Sorry again about that delay. Nothing much happened in this chapter (except for Cain getting PWN-ed 83 Made my day for some reason). #7 has some interesting tidbits about Kitoo but it’s probably #8 people will like (well, the Cain fans at least). Take care until then ~ :3

Also, I was thinking about what you said about weirdoes when I totally remembered something. There was an extremist in our club! Well…more of a creepier actually.

(this is kind of a long story so I’ll understand if you don’t read it ^^:)

The club had a little social get together (basically we just nerded out, and played games and watched anime) – this was after the first few meetings of the semester so this was a way to get everyone acquainted and talking. There was one guy who came and sat with my group. We thought hey, the more the merrier. He seemed normal too. Everyone in my group exchanged numbers because we were happy to finally meet others with similar tastes and this way we could keep in contact when we wanted to hang outside club hours. During the frenzy we also got his number. Well, the social ends and everyone heads home. I’m home when I get a text – it’s from that guy (we’re calling him NASCAR because that’s a joke name he used). Anyway, NASCAR says hey it was fun hanging out and talks about video games. I’m all, okay whatever and say yeah it was fun. Then he asks me if I want to go over to his house. I think, um…no. I just met you. It’s almost midnight. I’m not going to your house. Alone. I’m good at being elusive so I managed to get him off me (after he made several attempts later on). However, once figuring out I wasn’t interested, he went after the other girls! Cree (one of the girls in my group) got major creepier vibes from him too when he kept trying to get her to his house so she just ignored him. The third girl he targeted – we’ll call her Art – is a really sweet girl so she had a hard time getting him off her back. She said she’d go to his house but asked Cree to come with her. So they go to his house. It’s in…typical guy nasty condition. Nothing worthy to continuously try and get us to his house. So everything is going ok when he hears a knock on his door. Art sees him pull out a gun (Cree is elsewhere) and goes to answer the door. Naturally she’s freaking out and goes to find Cree. She pulls Cree into a closet and tells her what she saw. Both girls freak out and, after pretending everything is ok, manage to leave. 

NASCAR is now continuously texting Art (seeing how she is the only one who responds), asking her to call him or if she wants to hang. After the whole gun thing, she doesn’t want anything to do with him. But she’s too sweet for her own good and isn’t able to just ignore him. She tries to brush him off politely. Like once he texted her to call him but she was driving and said she’d call him later (which she never planned on doing). Five minutes later he texts asking why she hasn’t called. There are other creeper stuff too.

It was only recently I learned about NASCAR creeping on them too. When I told my friend Vee if he texted her, she said no. I was all wtf why only me but then I learned the other two had the same experience. We deduced since Vee had a BF that’s why NASCAR didn’t go after her. But yeah, I was scared to go to the anime club for awhile – I made sure to go when the other girls were there. NASCAR disappeared so now things are better but still…

So yeah…there are some…people…of…quirkiness in every club I guess…o_o’

My mind is very dirty. I make so many yaoi jokes people question why I’m not a yaoi fan girl haha Actually, during an Asian Festival I went to recently, there was a both for San Japan. They were doing cel art – anyone was welcome to give it a shot. My friend Cree and I did some and we kept cracking jokes about making the other’s perfect guy (basically we draw @#$%-ed up looking guys XD We’re weirdoes, I acknowledge that). She drew this hot guy but made him flaming lol. We cracked jokes with the guy attending the booth －like what color lipstick to use or if she should add eye shadow or not. As we were leaving, he gave us a poster of Angel Sanctuary.  I was walking away smiling before I thought, wait a minute. I took a close look at the picture – it had two guys in a VERY suggestive pose. Did he think I was a yaoi fangirl!? Cree cracked up when I voiced this out loud (she said my facial expression was awesome) XD
