Bonus novella: A Heart in Love
Whoops! Almost forgot to post this baby too. Included in the first tank of “There is No Future for This Love” is a novella concerning how two characters as different as Masaki and Yuuji ever crossed paths into the broship/unrequited love that exists in the current manga.
Chapter 5: Equivalent Exchange
Last full chapter in tank 1, folks!
The chapter continues where chapter 4 left off: Yuuji pinned against the door, Tora asking him if he likes dicks. When Yuuji doesn’t respond, Tora provokes him by inching closer and flicking Yuuji’s lips with his fingers. Yuuji eventually wakes up and pushes the other guy off him: THE ONLY THING THAT CAN TOUCH THESE LIPS ARE MY LIPSTICK, GOOD FOOD, AND MASAKI’S BODY PARTS!
Either Yuuji is strong or Tora is a little bitch, because Tora goes flying. He looks up at a trembling Yuuji and decides they’ve gone far enough – he’s seen Yuuji’s reaction and the truth is now out. So how about some coffee?
Chapter 4: The Butterfly and the Tiger
Remember when Yuuji said he wanted some makeup in chapter 3? Welp, Boy is a man who follows through on his plans. We start the chapter at a department store where Yuuji is looking around the cosmetics section, overwhelmed by all the colors and items for purchase. Before he can grab the nearest lip gloss and run for it, one of the sales ladies comes up and asks if he needs him. With three chapters worth of continuous lying under his belt, Yuuji shoves his fear into his gull bladder and smoothly says he’s here to buy a present for his little sister but has no idea what he’s looking at because he’s a man and men don’t know these things and nothing suspicious here. He throws in a smile and some shojo sparkles to dazzle the sales lady into thinking this is not suspect and not to question when asked about his sister’s description, she’s told the sister looks exactly like Yuuji, complexion, facial structure, and all.
Lady: the sparkles have blinded me to your lies. This way sir. ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
(I’m greatly amused how Yuuji thinks: pssft, please. Sister? Bitch I’m totally lying. I just need some help telling the difference between blush and eye shadow ( ‾ʖ̫‾). Like Yuuji, it’s ok. We get it.)
Chapter 3: The Blazing Forest
Chapter 3 starts with the club members reading Yuuji’s novella: The Liar Butterfly. As he waits for them to finish and give feedback, he’s nervously squeezing his hands to the point where his fingers are almost about to go clear through his palms.
Yuuji: maybe I shouldn’t have based my story on a boy butterfly wanting to be a girl…or named the butterfly Yuuji…or his love interested Masaki…shit
Upon getting to the last page, club member “girl I still don’t know what her name is” smiles and tells Yuuji this is his best piece yet.
Yuuji: FUCK YOU THIS IS A WORK OF FICTION I HAVE A DISCLAIMER ANY FACTS MATCHING UP WITH REAL LIFE ARE PURELY COINCIDENTAL IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH oh I mean thank you.
Chapter 2: The Liar Butterfly
Chapter 2 starts with Yuuji in his room, staring at a piece of paper. He pauses, lets out a sigh, then chucks the paper in the garbage. Or at least he tries. The crumpled paper bounces off the trashcan and rolls on the floor, like fuck you buddy, you get your sweet cheeks over here and send me off gently. Yuuji must be a man that can’t stand a mess because he actually does get up and put the offending paper in the trash receptacle as intended. Returning to his desk, the jar holding Masaki’s cigarette catches his eye.
Been awhile since my last attempt at writing summaries. Not sure how this will go but hey, we’re already buckled in and the car is about to enter the highway so too late to turn back now! 8D
Kono Koi ni Mirai wa Nai or There is No Future for This Love is a bit different than the usual Sylph title. Well, actually…shit, now that I think about it, lots of the new stuff in Sylph has been different – 15 year old widows, pseudo-daddy lovers, institutionalized bishies, people in their 20’s going back to high school…
Yeah, things have definitely changed lol, but I’m not complaining ~ Makes this interesting :p
My first thought of There is No Future for This Love was this must be gender bender. Why else is there someone who dressed like a dude now wearing a dress. But then I was like, wait, is the main character a woman dressing as a guy or a guy dressing as a girl? Then I actually sat down and read each issue of Sylph to get a better understanding of what the plot was. My question was answered reading chapter 1 lol – but now another question arose: why did everyone want this one guy’s D. Even Sylph advertises the manga as one with supreme drama, all surrounded around one man’s penis:
Me: welp, now I gotta read this.
Join me as I try to figure out what magical properties this man’s sperm shooter carries.
; A ; OMG, it’s been forever since I posted something on Spoils. Damn you class from hell! I don’t know how this school could ruin biotechnology for me but it did! That was like a favorite class in undergrad but in the grad lvl, it’s just disgusting. The only thing I’ve learned from this class/lab is what we SHOULDN’T be doing in a real professional lab. I CAN TOTALLY UNDERSTAND WHY OUR RESULTS ARE ALWAYS FARKED AND DISGUSTING!
Rant aside, here are the covers for September’s releases:
Sorry to those on Twitter who got double spammed by this but I had to fangaism about the news on Spoils ~
I love Sora Kara! My Nanny! and apparently it’s been doing decent enough that it got a “fan page” or whatever 8D Usually only popular stuff like SLH and Brothers Conflict get pages. So this is definitely a HELL YEAH moment!
Here is the banner (so cute!) and clicking on it will take you to the fan page:
I’m surprised no one has picked Sora Kara! My Nanny up (scan wise). Definitely good for lols, though the beginning was a bit…ghey xD
