Freshman Asuza’s mind is fixated on her older neighbor Yukiharu. They’ve kissed and he’s admitted to liking her, so what does that make them now???
From first dates to first fights, and even their first night together, this heart pounding sweet love triangle comes to a close with the “beginnings” of a new love with an older man.
Also included are two side stories and “jo4mo,” a bunch of shorts based on high school girls and their conversations.
So it’s ended ~ The first half of the tank involves the uncle and Azusa going on a “research excursion” – fancy words aside, they’re on a date. Uncle says he needs to collect material on what a “date” is so he asks Azusa to help him.
(You are a grown ass man, sir, with a pretty ok face. You’ve not been on a date at least once?)
(Or is it this is the first time you’ve been on a date as a pedophile? *dodges hate from age gap lovers :P)
In the middle, Ousuke remembers he’s supposed to be part of this love triangle and half halfheartedly makes an attempt at the main girl. But then everyone realizes we only have so many pages left so he backs off, quickly saying he regrets rejecting her when she confessed long ago and that he hopes she’ll be happy with his uncle (what nephew says that to someone he goes to high school with lol?). The last bit of the tank involves some fluff between the Uncle and Azusa because otherwise it’s like they never really got together haha (but nothing scandalous because she’s still a minor I guess?). There are some random shorts in here afterwards that deal with a bunch of high school girls talking about their experiences having sex with guys (from older men to several at once or in rotation) <- ???????? Was hella random and it wasn’t really funny to me… Kind of ended the whole series with a sour aftertaste D:
Overall, Otonari wa 1-ken de 2-do Oishii was an ok series. I felt like the story was an empty can on a rocky boat. We’d go one way but then roll back to the other side of the ship only to go back to the original spot. Honestly, I don’t even know why Ousuke was even there. I don’t recall if it was ever addressed why he lives with his uncle. Surely not because of that stupid food poisoning incident (but that might explain why he asked the main girl not to say anything about where he lives?). Plus honestly he was a bit of a tool :/
If you’re bored, I guess give Otonari wa 1-ken de 2-do Oishii a go? It won’t change your life or leave an impact. If anything, at least the art was cute ~
